LIVERPOOL VS BIRMINGHAM - THE LUCKY 100TH MEETING!

I MEAN WHAT A GAME!

Awesome performance by the lads with an unlikely rebound strike by Maxi and Kuyt the workhorse netting the 2nd!

The kids were on fire with Robinson, Spearing and Flanno having a solid performance and it was a toss for man of the match from Lucas and Meireless
he Reds kept the pressure on with Birmingham literally playing with 11 men in their own half the majority of the 1st half. A call for a penalty was brushed a side by Howard Scum Webb!
Ben Foster was replaced by Doyle in goal for Birmingham. By this time I was thinking of a dejavu 7-0 route by the Reds! Hey you never know right?

THE SECOND HALF - started off without the intensity of the first but you could see the Reds pressing. Liverpool gave away a free kick and a yellow card to Robinson who is turning out to be a regular Scouser!
Suarez with his trickery was fouled by Carr and he skyed the free kick. Still a great performance by Suarez minus any BITING hahaha! His brilliant solo run in the 59th minute was almost fruitful and you could see the frustration on he man as he is looking for his next goal!
Defensively, I cannot remember when we looked this solid even with the absence of Kelly and Johnson.I think the commentator put it aptly when he said that although most of Lucas' performance is not mindblowing, it is definitely valuable to the team.
Maxi netted his second on the 65th minute and the Argentinian seems to be finding himself in the right place at the right time in typical Owen fashion. In Fact he almost netted his hattrick from a Suarez cross in the 69th minute.
David Bentley( WHO?) came on in the 70th minute but one could feel that this is just to give him some playing time.
Well Maxi netted his hattrick on the 73rd minute and yes - right place right time. However Spurs were ahead 2-1 against WBA damn!
Robinson was replaced by Jonjo in the 80th minute and the gambles with the lads has paid off. Now Cox equalized for WBA in the 81st minute and it was looking rosy for the REDS
Joe Cole came in and scores a delightful goal in the 90th minute!
And yes SPURS drew with WBA 2-2 and thats the best thing Hodgson has done all season for the REDS!

Man of the match anyone? Mine is Lucas!

YNWA!
